BIO AND CAREER
Mirco Grasso, born in 1993, found mountaineering to be a boundless terrain.
From the Dolomites to the great walls of the Karakorum and Patagonia, his way of experiencing the mountains is born above all from curiosity: seeking out new lines, testing different terrains and venturing into places where the outcome is never a given.

Before climbing, there was basketball, which he practiced for years; then, in his twenties, the mountains finally took over. Since then, Mirco has carved out a highly versatile career path, ranging from rock to mixed climbing and ice, from technical climbs in the Alps to expeditions in some of the most remote areas of the world. He also continues to work as an IT consultant, a profession he maintains remotely and which allows him to balance work, travel, and mountaineering.
His career includes first ascents and repeats in Patagonia, Pakistan, Greenland, Kyrgyzstan, the United States, Morocco, Mozambique, and Jordan. Recent projects include Gringos Locos on Cerro Piergiorgio and Chiaroveggenza on Marmolada in 2025, as well as Rollercoaster, the new line opened in 2026 on the southeast face of K7 together with Matteo Della Bordella, Luca Ducoli, and Giacomo Mauri: 1,600 meters and 30 pitches, with difficulties up to M7, WI5+, and A1. More than a collection of achievements, however, the underlying theme remains the same: experiencing mountaineering as exploration and a serious game, challenging oneself without losing the pleasure of discovering what lies beyond the known line.
