Anna Ferrino awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro

On Friday 24 October at the Quirinale Palace , the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella awarded Anna Ferrino , General Manager of Ferrino & CSpA, the honour of Cavaliere del Lavoro .

This prestigious recognition recognizes an entrepreneurial journey that began over a century and a half ago, built on continuity, innovation, and social responsibility.

For Anna Ferrino, at the helm of one of Italy's oldest outdoor companies, it represents a tribute to over 150 years of family history, rooted in Piedmont but with an eye on the world.

"Receiving this title from President Mattarella is a profound emotion for me," says Anna Ferrino. "It's an honor that transcends my own person and that I want to share with my family, the Rabajoli members, and the entire Ferrino team.
It is thanks to their daily commitment, their expertise, and their passion that our company continues to grow today, keeping alive the roots and spirit with which it all began more than 150 years ago.”

A tradition of adventure and innovation

Founded in 1870 in Turin by Cesare Ferrino , the company began producing the first waterproof fabrics, used for expedition tents and intended for explorers of the time.
Over the decades, Ferrino has accompanied mountaineering, scientific, and humanitarian expeditions around the world—from Reinhold Messner's feats on the fourteen eight-thousanders to missions in Antarctica—becoming an international point of reference for those who experience the mountains and adventure authentically.

Today, the San Mauro Torinese headquarters hosts a team of approximately 70 employees, committed to developing innovative and sustainable products.

Design and prototyping are entirely carried out in Italy, where supplies for Civil Protection and emergency response are also produced, while mass production of outdoor products is outsourced to specialized foreign partners.
Ferrino continues to embody the values that have made it famous: research, environmental responsibility, and quality.
