“Search for the best snow possible, ski it in the best way possible”
The substance of the steep for Enrico Mosetti

Enrico Mosetti, known to all as “Mose”, needs no introduction. The curves drawn on the steepest channels of the Julian Alps speak for him, the mountains where he was born and raised, those that shaped him as a mountaineer and skier, before handing him over to the peaks of the world. An Alpine guide, he has taken up the baton from Mauro Rumez, throwing himself into the world of freeride and steep climbing. He loves steep climbing, he seeks it out, finding satisfaction in the adrenaline of the descent, the same that led him to seek emotions first on the Alpine mountains, then on the South American ones and again in New Zealand, where he achieved one of his most beautiful feats: the Caroline face of Mount Cook. A line already attempted by many, but that no one had managed to complete in its entirety. Last year, the first repetition of the Comici trilogy, following in the footsteps of his friend Federico Deluisa who, in 2015, was the first to have the intuition of being able to descend the deep channels between the Julian Alps and the Dolomites, which host the routes of the famous climber from Trieste: Forca Berdo (Julian Alps), Punta Tre Scarperi (Sesto Dolomites) and Sorapiss (Ampezzo Dolomites).

But steep is something you have to feel inside, as Enrico's words tell, you have to perceive its vibration. But you also have to move safely, aware of what you are doing, to limit the risk as much as possible and enjoy a day in the mountains. Today the "Mose" tells his story and through his experience he leaves some advice to those who want to try to take a step further, pushing themselves a little beyond their comfort zone to experience new emotions and discover a world made of powder.
