A new Alta Via in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park
We are in the province of Belluno in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, one of the last remaining wilderness corners of the Dolomites because it is characterized by impervious and difficult to access valleys that hide true natural treasures.
The Alta Via Dolomiti Bellunesi is a new route designed to be covered in 7 days. Stages and support points are freely programmable with a single common denominator: large differences in altitude, long distances, spectacular environments and paths far from mass tourism .
A rediscovery of a mountain that has remained unchanged over time and where nature is reclaiming spaces abandoned by man.
The route starts from Forno di Zoldo and with a long crossing takes us to Feltre .
These are unexpected Dolomites for those who are used to their “glossy” version.
Alpine refuges, where the atmosphere and human contact are worth more than many comforts and technology and will appeal to those who wish to live an authentic trekking experience in the wild nature a few steps away from the most anthropized Dolomites.
But you will surely make connections with the people you meet, you will walk alongside herds of chamois, deer and mouflons. You will have the opportunity to admire more than 1,700 botanical species including some world rarities.
The Alta Via Dolomiti Bellunesi was born with the aim of promoting responsible hiking that approaches the environment in a conscious way.
The project is developed with the contribution of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and in collaboration with the CAI sections of Agordo, Belluno, Longarone, Oderzo and Val di Zoldo and Feltre.
Ferrino , which has always supported the valorization, protection and interpretation of the mountains in the context of “slow” tourism, will provide bivouac kits (tent, mattress and sleeping bag), offering direct support to those refuges that, due to the limited number of beds, might struggle to accommodate all hikers.
While waiting for the 2019 season, the site will be continuously updated: www.altaviadolomitibellunesi.it
We are waiting for you in the wild heart of the Dolomites!
