Omar Di Felice

Former professional cyclist Omar di Felice is now an ultracycling champion. He became passionate about the world of cycling as a boy, watching Marco Pantani on TV. For a few years he dedicated himself to amateur competition, before turning professional in 2006. After a year among the ranks of the greats he decided to leave to live his experiences in the saddle with a different, lighter spirit. Thanks to a journey on the pedals, without money, from Lourdes to Santiago de Compostela he made himself known to the world of social media. He then began his approach to long-distance races where he managed to excel, obtaining both national and international recognition.

Always passionate about travel and adventure, in 2018 he decided to take his cycling experience to the coldest places on the planet in search of a different adventure. Thus began a period of intense explorations on the pedals that led him to face journeys, made even more extreme by winter conditions.

Passion for the cold

In the 2000s, during a trip to Iceland, he fell in love with the cold and began to imagine exploring the world in its most difficult season, winter. If he had been born in the mountains, he said, he would have spent his life climbing in winter. Living in the plains, he chose to reconcile his passion for ice and low temperatures with his passion for cycling, choosing to travel on the roads of the north.
